This Cookie Policy explains how Monavio uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, SDK identifiers) on monavio.app and in the Monavio application. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Strictly necessary

Essential for the Service to function: authentication tokens (keeping you signed in), session identifiers, and security tokens. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

2. Analytics

Analytics load by default, based on our legitimate interest in improving the Service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), subject to your right to opt out. No consent banner is displayed. On this website we use Amplitude, Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity; in the app we use Amplitude.

Your analytics profile in the app carries your account identity — user ID, display name, and email address — so usage can be associated with your account across sessions and devices.

What analytics do NOT receive:

• Your financial data (transactions, balances, holdings)
• Your uploaded statements or documents
• Any content you enter into the AI assistant
• Your passwords or authentication tokens

3. Your choices

• Do Not Track — if your browser sends an enabled DNT signal (value "1" or "yes"), we do not load analytics at all, on this website or in the web app, regardless of your region.
• In the app — go to Settings > Privacy and turn off Share usage analytics; app usage events stop immediately, and the SDK's automatic session markers stop at the next app launch. Your choice is applied immediately and persists until you change it.
• Browser settings — block or delete site data (cookies and local storage). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning.

4. Retention

• Session cookies — deleted when your session ends
• Authentication tokens — until you sign out or the token expires
• Analytics preference — until you change it or clear app/browser data
• Amplitude analytics data — no automatic expiry; retained by Amplitude until deleted on request (see the Privacy Policy, "Your rights")
